The Rise and Fall of American Slavery
This class profoundly changed the way I think on a daily basis. It deepened my understanding of how to approach, discuss, and engage with history in a way that honors those before me. Through this, I have gained a greater appreciation for what it means to love others—recognizing the weight of what history really is, and its impact on the present.
During group projects that tackle difficult questions such as this case study, my depth of insight has increased because of the ability to lean on and learn from partners in my work.
Group work not only enhances the depth of insight during preparation but also strengthens the impact of the final presentation. Through this group speech, I learned the importance of collaboration, the value of relying on others, and the growth that comes from recognizing that success is not always achieved alone.
This Interpretations Paper gave me the ability to hear different interpretations of a passage that I studied in depth. By hearing more insights from different close friends and church members, my understanding for who God is deepened through others as a result.
