Through this extensive project my friend Tim and I conducted research about the relative age effect in athletes. With the results that we found we now have more knowledge about how to communicate with mentally struggling athletes who may be young for their grade just like us.
With the ability to interview a close friend that works in an area of business communication I was able to gain more knowledge about what the future may look like and learn more about an area of a space I may want to go into one day.
My Communication Theory class had many impacts on my knowledge of how we communicate. With more depth, learning more about Face Negotiation Theory has expanded my understanding of how individuals use tactics to “save face” and highlighted the differences in how various cultures approach this issue.
